I designed this linocut for a print exchange with some other printers, mostly in England. the theme for this this exchange is 'Chaos/Calmness'. The first thing that pops into my head for 'chaos' is a hurricane... it's a Florida thing. The first thing that pops in my head for 'calmness' is quiet meditation. The orginal limited edition was very popular and sold out quickly, so I decided to create an open edition using the same block, but variable in ink and paper color.

Limited edition handmade art prints for sale will be annotated with edition number, title, signature, and year of printing at the bottom of the print. Open edition prints are annotated with a print number over 'OE', title, and signature (but no date). Monotype prints for sale are one-of-a-kind and will be annotated without an edition number. Trial and color proofs, when they are offered for sale, will be annotated with title, year, and a chop symbol instead of a signature. Trial and color proofs are going to be different from the limited edition prints.
